Subject: No one needs a J FAQ?

It seems the major voting here is "no one needs this FAQ". I think this
is interesting. comp.lang.c has a long FAQ - and they have many books on
C, and people know it is useful (in "real" life anyway). Other groups too.

The way I see it, the FAQ has two purposes:
1. Give the occasional reader of comp.lang.apl, or the timid programmer
considering learning an APL like language, a good start. He may not want
to buy J yet - he is just thinking about it - let's convince him it is
not just strange character combinations. Sure I can convince guys here
(or I can try - no one really beleives my leverage comes from J...) - but
I want this group to convince others too. I think we all share this, no?

2. The faq may help J programmers share tips (and again I suggest you
look at the C language faq), idioms etc. This may help to take a better
advantage of the language.

Anyway, I am not stopping - but I am reconsidering. I'd like to here more
comments and "votes" - you may just email me.

Bye,
