Just one thing more to remember:
From APL*Plus you can call Fortran routines directly using quad-NA.
I have used this with APL*Plus II/386 and Lahey F77L EM/32  Fortran compiler:
works nice. So, if you have a Fortran routine written (or otherwise available)
then use quad-NA, otherwise do APL.
