Well as someone who is new to J I can at least give you some good
questions.
First I would suggest a section that explains J to those of use who 
are more used to FORTRAN and C.  This needs to include a list of the
most common J functions and how they are used (especially order
of evaluation and forking).  And the other thing it should show is 
how to write multi-line functions (this took me long time to figure
out).
Another thing that would be helpful is advice on compiling J.  I managed
to compile J under Linux but things involving floating point over
and under flow (plus INF and NAN) don't work right. But most every
thing else does :-).
