Speakers: James MacFarlane, has been involved with electronic Bulletin Board
Systems (BBS's) since 1982. He first became a Sysop (BBS System

how to start a BBS, features of BBS's currently in Toronto, how to
choose a BBS and how a novice can become a BBS user.

David Chaloner is from Canada Remote Systems (CRS). CRS is a Toronto-
based BBS, and is the largest PCBoard System in the world. He will
discuss the history of their BBS and their current organization. He
will also describe conferences available, services available
(including user support), and the most common usage of these services.

Lee Dickey, is a former editor of APL QUOTE QUAD magazine. He has
been active on BBS networks for many years, and is Professor of
Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. He will discuss the
history of the comp.lang.apl conference and the kinds of dialogue,
participation and interchange that has appeared on that conference.
He will also talk about the fate of the Toronto APL Toolkit in the BBS
