A good place for a beginner might be IAPL - very inexpensive.
  I-APL Limited
  2 Blenheim Road
  St Albans
  Herts, ALI 4NR
  England

While it bugs the bleep out of me that they do not support the standard APL
keyboard (instead insisting that # is quad, and other supposedly easy
"mnemonics", the overall implementation is more than adequate for the
learning environment.

Couple questions of my own: I had STSC APL way back when, but abandoned it
- it was EXCELLENT but lots of upgrades, and expensive. I-APL is a bit too
little (it would be OK if it used a standard burned-into-my-brain APL
layout).
  Any suggestions for ME? Thanks!
