i want to understand j better and i have downloaded both v.3.4 and 5.1
for the Mac. the 3.4 has a terrific on-line help system which could
greatly facilitate my studying the system and v.5.1 does not offer
anything like it.

i know there must be written material for v.5.1 (what and where?) but is
it going to be as useful as the online help (which reallyis nice)?

my question is: if i use 3.4 to study 'j' will i be learning 'the wrong
stuff'? how much has the language changed from 3.4 to 5.1?

suggestions and advice are appreciated.
