APL92 in St.Petersburg (Russia) Ready to Launch

St. Petersburg is waiting for the World APL Community to the first
truly global APL conference, APL92. Nearly two hundred enthusiastic
delegates and one hundred accompanying persons - families and friends -
have registered to this event from all around the world.
The required visas conplicated the registration process, but
we believe we were able to deliver all invitation letters in time,
thanks to faxes - wonderful machines - and many "special agents" that
helped us to find the good fax numbers.
We planned to send the final program and other useful information
to all who register, but the printing took more time than anticipated,
so it is too late to mail them. But if you have received the invitation
letter/fax, then you know that you are registered and your hotel and
tour reservations are made as you requested. BUT... if you did not
inform us about your arrival (date, time, flight number or train),
or if your plans were changed, PLEASE, inform us by email or by fax.
We shall meet at the airport or railway station, and we want to be
in the right place at the right time. Use one of the following addresses:
Email: ankon@sms.ccas.msk.su (Andrei Kondrashev)
       juvonen@hekvm.vnet.ibm.com (Erkki Juvonen)
       nick@iha.spb.su (Nikolai Puntikov)
Fax: +358-0-4594442 (APL92 conference office/Erkki Juvonen)
After 1st July, ONLY Nikolai Puntikov, email, or fax +7-812-394 5005.

Because of many inquiries: hotel rooms and food will be quite ok.
The Finnish catering company brings all food from Finland, including
bottled water, different menu options (including vegetarian) will be
available, no problems with coffee, tea, etc. No need to take your
own supplies. Medical services guaranteed. But, like always, take
a travel insurance.

We cannot do anything to the weather, but you have about eighty percent
probability of sunny, warm weather. You will have a unique opportunity
to experience the St.Petersburg white nights: at midnight you may read
a book by natural daylight.

See you in APL92 !
                    Erkki Juvonen
