What about Sharp APLs packages ([]pack et al.) which can be implemented as
nested (boxed, generalized whatever) arrays (see the HP APL developed by
Sharp Australia in 1986).


Ah, maybe you mean no standard way to group objects in first class objects
(instead of the strange )GROUP)! That is certainly a hinderance.
