J/PC is compiled using Turbo C with the emulator option and J/PC386 is
compiled using Watcom C/386 with the fpi option, and would use a math
co-processor if present or emulation software if not. As implied,
this feature is dependent on the C compiler. The source is oblivious
to these machinations.
