Steve Wu:
I have a question about FTIE in APL*PLUS. It seems to me the
apl has somekind of secureity feature (bugs) that say, when I
copy a workspace from other guys, I can not use their datafiles.
Even the usr-id shows those files are mine, the FTIE function
would give me an error message.

Does anyone know how to do with it?

Joseph T. Hatfield:
...stuff about file access matrices, []FRDAC and []FSTAC

Another possibility occurs if you're on a multi-user system. []FTIE
grants exclusive access to a file -- only the person holding the tie
can read or write the file. For shared access, all must use []FSTIE.
