the watserv1 version of TryApl2 should be the complete release of
TryAPL2 version2 (this is version 2, isn't it?).

TryAPL2 is not ment for commercial use. IBM markets APL2 for the
PC, which is a good deal at arround $500 US, in the states. there is a
rummor that a new version will be available soon, and the new TryAPL is
based on this version. The release of APL2 for the PC will be version 2.
This is all inuendo I heard from a talk by an IBM person very high in the
ranks of their APL community ( with name hidden to protect the guilty :) ).

TryAPL2 is the same language as APL2 (the same interpreter) with
size limitations, and the inability to save workspaces. Also, the
workspaces, and Auxilury processors are not packaged with it( you must
buy the commercial product).

As for incompatabilities between APL2 on the PC and on the mainframe,
most functions are Identical, but functions which interface with the
Operating System are different.

I hope this helps some. Anyone out there, have I missed anything?

	Carl
