I have had a number of queries from APLers about comp.lang.apl.
Most of them are from people in industry who are not affiliated
with universities, etc., and have only a vague idea of even the
existence of these nets we use.

What advice can I give them on obtaining access to the net and comp.lang.apl?

Usually, I get something like: "Hiya. I live in New Brunswick. Now what do
I do?"

A few have tried asking associates at universities, without luck.

A related issue has come up with respect to an idea on setting up
a CompuServe forum, similar to comp.lang.apl. The assumption is that
access to CompuServe might be easier than the net. Comments?

Thanks. Please email responses, unless they are of general interest
to the community.

Bob
